Ansel Adams Project
Ansel Adams was born February 20, 1902, in the Western Addition of San Francisco. His parents were upper class, and he was an only child. At age twelve he taught himself how to play piano, music become one of his main interests. In 1916 he received his first camera, it was a gift from his father. In 1919 he got the Spanish Flu during an epidemic. He recovered his continued his life of working outside. In 1927 he created his first portfolio, it was called "Parmelian Prints of the High Sierras". President Jimmy Carter went on to commission to make the first official portrait of a President by a photographer. He passed away on April 22, 1984, he died of a heart attack and was 82 years old.
